Dolly Dingle runs to the tree Christmas morning!

Grace Drayton’s cartoon characters brought joy to many children and their families in the 20th century and now, almost a hundred years later, her drawings are still popular today. Grace grew up in Philadelphia. She was a prolific and accomplished artist, belonging to the most prestigious artist circles. She was actively drawing from 1904 until her death in 1936. She is most famous for designing the Campbell’s Kids and Dolly Dingle.

It’s Christmas morning! The tree was trimmed in the night by Dolly’s parents, as used to be the custom. As she runs downstairs to grab her stocking by the fireplace, her face is filled with wonder and delight at the magnificent evergreen bedecked in stylish ornaments. There is even a pink Christmas fairy for the top of the tree. And, even better, there are lots and lot of presents underneath.

Included in this 4 page PDF four color paper doll are:

  • A doll in a white slip, blue striped stockings and Mary Jane shoes
  • Pink striped pajamas with attached red stocking full of toys
  • Blue Christmas party dress with attached nicely dressed doll
  • Large sparsely trimmed Christmas tree with 15 cut out ornaments
  • Pink cut out Christmas fairy for the top of the tree
